We went to the pool as much as we could this summer. It took me a few weeks to have the courage to take all four of my kids by myself but there were usually friends there that were more than willing to hold Oliver. Max has gotten to be a pretty good swimmer and loves to swim around in the deep end. It still makes me nervous. Sometimes it looks like he is struggling but he is just playing around. Isla loves to swim around on her own in her lifejacket, although the Lifeguards got after me a few times at the beginning of summer. Apparently if your child has any kind of floaty on, a parent must me in arms length. If they don't have a floating device on than it is okay for child to swim on their own. It seems a bit backwards to me, but we decided to comply to the odd rules and make it work. So I would follow Isla around in the pool while holing Wyatt and we would leave Oliver sleeping in his stroller. It is so nice to have the pool so close.

Amy and Chad and their boys came to visit over Labor Day. They went to the BYU/UVA game on Saturday and came up to stay with us the rest of the weekend. It was fun having them here!

After the Sorensen's left we decided to go to the pool one last time before it closed for the winter.

After the pool we went to Brad and Alicia's house in Round Hill for a barbecue. It was a lot of fun but we left pretty early so that we could get home and get ready for the first day of school the next day.

Loved the recap. Little Ollie is growing so fast. I am looking forward to when we can come out to meet him.
What a brave mom to take them all swimming by yourself! (My understanding with floating devices in pools is that it is hard to notice if a child is struggling in the water unless you are right there, like a false sense of security... You see the lifejacket from a distance and assume they are fine when they might not be... Maybe I am wrong though... I don't know!)
