The Dunes of Coral Pink

Last weekend we went to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes with my family and my uncle's family. Shayla and I headed out Friday with the kiddies for Isla's first campout! We found a perfect site about a mile or two south of the dunes, nestled among the Juniper trees and up against a rolling sandstone hill.

Max of course, loved camping, playing in the sand, and running up the hill. Isla did amazingly well too. We were prepared for a long night, with her waking up every time we moved (she slept between me and Shayla) but she slept really well, only waking a couple of times to eat. It was a lot of fun!

The next morning we ate breakfast, packed up camp, and headed to the sand dunes to meet up with my family. We spent the day in the shade of a large juniper tree and cruising the dunes. We had a great time! Max loved the four-wheelers. I swear that kid would replace his legs with wheels if it were possible. Thankfully however, it's not.

Max loved pushing his truck all over the place.

He loved digging in the sand too.

It looks like Isla had fun too. Just don't tell her that her hair's on fire.

Getting ready to ride!
