December 2017

December was an awesomely busy month!! My Mom is the ultimate Grandma and planned to read a different Christmas story each day of the month before Christmas with her Grandkids and had an activity to go along with the book.
It was a bit crazy at times with all the Grandkids around, but oh so much fun!!
We started out December with a Lego advent Calendar.
The first thing my Mom had planned was a moon light hike.
Isla and I were not feeling well (Strep Throat) so we missed out.

For some reason Max said I owed him a burger at Carl's Jr. He has a certain way of making his burger just perfect.

I wish I could remember which book went with each activity. Maybe she read the Gingerbread Man or something
Because they made Gingerbread houses for this activity.

Happy Birthday Bob!!
He turned 38 years old.

Ollie always loves to go to the Dinosaur Park!!

And a train ride is a must!!
Wyatt had been waiting ad waiting for the leaves to fall. So Grandpa was nice enough to leave him a pile of leaves to play in before mowing them all up.

Grandma reading the kids a book at the Temple

They really enjoyed the visitors center!!

Two thumbs up from this kid.

Isla had a few Christmas performances with the Sunset Express

We stopped at the carousel after one of the performances

Sparky the Elf was being kinda silly

So funny!!

Ollie also loves to go to the Children's Museum

The Grinch goes to Preschool

He took all their toys and presents away. But Ollie wasn't too worried, he knew right away that the Grinch was really his Dad. Sure enough the Grinch brought back their things before the end of preschool.

Isla was in the Girls on the Run Club at school. It was an after school activity that she would go to 2 times a week.
They had a 5k run to finish up the season. Isla's friend Shayla won the Limo ride to the 5k and invited Isla to ride with her.
During the run I thought Isla was just being fussy, because she wasn't running very much (she had ran 5k's before) but she really wasn't feeling well and threw up later that day and missed her violin recital. But I was still proud of her for finishing the race!!

Ollie was invited to a birthday party for one of the girls in his preschool class. He was the only boy there, but oh how the girls love him. A lot of the Mom's mentioned how much their daughters loved Oliver!!

My Mom had a Christmas Talent show.

Grandpa's Truck

Caroling to the neighbors. It was so much fun!!

Making nativities

Story time

My Mom took us IceSkating at Tuachan.
I guess it was actually Plastic skating, and you couldn't really skate that well, but we still had so much fun!!

We also went on a little train ride. It ended up just being around the parking lot and everyone was pretty disappointed.
After my Shelli heard about Bob and I going caving in November, She asked if we could take her while they were in town. Bob's coworker John (who is a caving expert) was so nice to be our guide and provide all the helmets for us. It was so fun.
