Bye Bye Toe

On January 11th 2016, Bob, Ollie and I drove up to Salt Lake City for Oliver's Surgery the next day
After a lot of prayer we decided to have Ollie's toe Amputated. We stayed at Sam and Heather's house that night and the next morning woke up early and headed to Primary Children's Hospital

Before surgery

Getting checked in

Checking his heart beat

Playing with toys while we wait
Going for a ride in the wagon

Off he goes

The surgery went really well. While Bob and I waited we were asked to participate in a study related to why tumors grow and why some are cancerous and some are not.
We have always been very grateful that Oliver's tumors were not cancerous!!

In recovery
It is always hard to watch him wake up.

On the ride home.
He didn't get a real cast this time.
We took off his bandages 10 days later.
Ollie is probably wondering where his toe went

Showing off his missing toe

His foot on Feb 16th
Feb. 28th

His foot is doing really well and there are no signs of anymore tumors :) (Nov 14th 2016)
