Frogs, Fireflies and Food

On Saturday June 26th we decided to let the kids stay up late so that they could catch some fireflies. As we headed out Max's first discovery was not a firefly but frog.
Poor little frog trying to get away

Catching the Fireflies

The next day we decided to go to the park and grill some burgers for dinner. I think that we were the only people crazy enough to leave the house. It was a very Hot and Humid day.

The kids were sopping wet from their own sweat.

Isla with her mouth full of strawberries and folding her arms for the prayer.

Mmm the burgers were really good!

Isla really liked the corn!

We had to get a family photo showing how hot and sweaty we were. It may have been a little crazy of us. But in the end we had some good food and a lot of fun.

It looks like you had the whole park to yourselves.

Funny you should mention fireflies. We used to see them all the time in Cleveland but I'd never seen them in Utah until last Thursday night. We were on a Scout camp near Alton and as we were walking along the edge of a meadow we noticed some fireflies out in the field. The scouts were all over it, trying to catch them.
