Easter in St. George

We couldn't have asked for a better Easter. I was very excited to take Max to an Easter egg hunt so on the 17th we took him to the Tonaquint park where they were having a egg hunt. It was a little crazy because there were so many people there and the kids were only allowed to take two eggs each but that was ok with Max. He was just happy to get the candy inside. The next egg hunt we took him to was on Saturday morning at the Washington park. Well I thought the first egg hunt was crazy but it was great compared to this one. There were so many kids and parents there that Max didn't even have a chance to get anything. After that we met up with Sharla at the Arts Festival and then went over to her old house and went swimming. Later that afternoon we went to the annual Easter picnic with the Barton side of my family. It was up near Winchester Hills in the middle of the red rocks next to Snow Canyon State Park. It was a lot of fun and Max had a great time exploring the whole area. He had a lot of fun at the family egg hunt too. On Easter Sunday we had one more Easter Egg hunt in the backyard with lots of Max's uncles, aunts, and cousins. Everyone had a great time looking for their eggs!

Max also got a new bike for Easter. For the last few months now Max has loved bikes. He knows where the bikes are at in Target and insists we let him ride them around the store. Any time he sees kids outside riding their bikes he would point at them and want to go ride their bikes. So for Easter we surprised him with a bike of his very own! When he woke up Easter morning he was a bit fussy and wouldn't stop crying. We brought him in to the living room where his bike was waiting for him. He looked at the bike and it seemed to take a second or two for it to register. He stopped crying and just stood there and looked at it. Then he went right up and sat on it. He loved it!
