On January 22nd the kids woke up to a big box with a bow on it with Mickey Mouse cookies on top
Inside the box was a Disney shirt for everyone and some
Mickey Mouse balloons and some tickets to Disneyland.
The kids got dressed and we hopped in the van and were on our way to California
(Bob and I packed the Van the night before)
| We stopped at Panda Express in Barstow on the way. |
| Watching the train pass by in Barstow |
| The kids were so excited when we finally made it to the hotel! They loved these bunkbeds |
We had one more surprise for them when Grandma and Grandpa Wells
showed up at our hotel that night.
The next morning we got on the shuttle and headed to the park.
| Ollie was excited to ride the shuttle |
| Who needs Disneyland when there are puddles to jump in? |
First ride of the day was Space Mountain.
| Then Buzz Lightyear ride |
Grandma decided to sit this one out because Space Mountain made her a little sick.
While she was waiting for us she noticed a little girl still sitting in her stroller after her family had gotten in line for the ride. They didn't notice that they had left her behind. So Elizabeth hung out with her and kept her calm until her family returned. We could tell right away who her family was as they got off the ride and discovered that their daughter was not with them. They ran all the way back to the strollers and were very relieved and grateful to find her there.
| Oliver loved toon town and the rollercoaster that he was big enough to ride. |
| Matterhorn |
| Isla loved meeting all the princesses and getting their autographs |
| Pirates of the Caribbean |
| Nemo Ride |
We stopped at the Lego store as we were leaving that night I think they loved the Lego store just as much as Disneyland |
| Day 2 |
| We were able to enter the park an hour early, but the only ride we were able to get on was the carousel |
Isla went and stood in line for the Princesses and was able to get their autographs.
But I only have videos of that.
| Splash Mountain |
| Thunder Mountain |
| Bob loved his Turkey Leg |
| Boys Cup |
| Girls Cup |
| Saying goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa |
| Electric Parade |
| Bugs World |
| California Screamer |
| Isla Loved it and went on it 5 times in a row. She even went by herself when we had only one fastness left |
| notice how her arm isn't even in right. |
| Max did not enjoy the Screamer and it took a little while for him to get over it. |
| Ferris Wheel |
| As we were eating our lunch that we brought into the park (minus the Pretzels) an older gentleman stopped by and mentioned how him and his family used to bring in their own lunches as well. He then dropped a $50 dollar bill on the table and told us to buy the kids a treat. It was such a nice thing for him to do and we were so grateful to him and for being an example of kindness to the kids. |
Cars Land We were disappointed that the Radiator Springs ride was closed that day. but we had fun on all the other rides |
| Enjoying our treats that the $50 dollars bought us |
| The Bugs Live Movie |
Me and Oliver rode the trolley while the others went on Soarin California, I think this was His favorite ride all day! |
The next day we went to the Newport beach for a little while
And then we went to Little Corona Del Mar beach that had
tide pools where the kids could search for fun sea urchins
We had such a fun Vacation and we can hardly wait to go back and do it again!
