Last Saturday we went to a Nationals Baseball game with the
Carr family and the Spears family. It was a lot of fun, despite the heat.
We took the metro in and the kids always have fun on the train.

Max climbing up the wall outside of the Metro Station
Cool girl!

Max had fun at the playground inside the baseball park

Isla sat with me and put on lipgloss

Then Max and Isla took there turn at Bat.

After purchasing our hotdogs and chips, we sat down to watch the game

Max was so excited when he saw the cotton candy, there was no way we could say no.

He loved it!

Bob also bought a few souvenirs for the kids too.

We all had a great time! I don't think we really watched to much of the game though.
We decided we would much rather go to a soccer game.

There is almost nothing better than a ball game on a summer evening. We became fans of the Indians (and the Brownies) when we were going to school in Cleveland. When Jared moved there we always got tickets to see a game every time we went back to visit.
Even Peg loved going. Not so much for the game itself, but the atmosphere, the cotton candy and hot dogs and the seventh inning stretch.
This might be the one thing I miss about metropolitan life!
Soccer games are way better!
